Day One: Activating Prior Knowledge, Building Knowledge (making connections, oral language focus)
- Bring in a typewriter: set up as a provocation (alternatively, show clip online of a typewriter)
- Predicting Setting: who has been to a farm? What do you know about farm animals?
- Today we are going to read a story about Farmer Brown, he has a really big problem, what do you think it could be?
Day Three: Vocabulary Development
- electric

- Do you think the Farmer should have given the animals what they wanted?
- What might the other animals want?
- Explore typewriters or keyboards in dramatic play or as a provocation
- incorporate keyboard into literacy groups
- create their own endings (set out book and encourage those interested to create other "wants" from other animals)
